I got the flares, sideskirts and front bumper from GT Racing... and despite the fact that the fitment wasn't perfect, we made it work (with a lot of help from Peter Dawe this past week). I also had a lot of help from some very generous friends who helped me get through about 90% of the build in my garage (most notably Bob Turgeon, Darren Mingis, Zach Winter, and Jeff Kiersch).

You should contact Gasser on here, he has a very well sorted 993-based race car.

And the first time I drove it (my first turns this year!!). Somewhat like my car, a smidge more power, but needs some tweaking on the setup.

With me, 1/2 tank, and cool suit cooler full... she weighed 2840 (and that's with stock doors, headlights, and oem glass on the rear and quarter windows). I figure that puts her just shy of 2600 dry and empty. Min PCA GT4S weight I believe is 2790 and at 258 HP (verified Dynojet pull at a NASA event at summit Point last summer) that puts me right at the 11/1 ratio for NASA GTS3. I did add a chip since then, which means I may need to add some ballast if my HP numbers went up. I'll have to re-dyno before the next NASA race in April to verify exactly what weight I'll run for GTS3.

Should be a fun season. Probably outgunned in PCA, but my times at NJMP yesterday were promising, and there's still plenty of time left on the table with a bit of tweeking and some more confidence in the brakes and aero. Bob T helped me shake her down yesterday, and we were both very impressed. He might chime in soon. I ran at 3170 lbs for H-class this past season, and now at over 300 lbs lighter, it feels like a completely different car.

Yes, Jeff and I have traded notes a bit over the winter.

Dan, if you're up for it, I'd be glad to have you help me soil the blank canvas.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing and driving something you built yourself. Nice job.

Glen:
Your car looks awesome! Sounds like you will be at the NASA race at SP in a few weeks. Look forward to seeing the car in person.

Brings back wide-body-air-cooled memories.

Nice detail work in the front trunk. How did the interior turn out?

Have fun and keep us posted!

What mine wants to be when it "grows up." (Or if I find a 993 shell and start over on the cheap.)
