Spec boxster in SCCA class-HELP
Quick question. What class in the SCCA would a spec boxster run? I have looked online and did a search with nothing.
Thanks,
Scott

Thanks the car I am looking at weights 2650 with driver with a fiberglass top. The car is set up to the rules for NASA, PCA, POC. So I would have to add weight and a top to run in ITR or this there another class BSR/SPBOX cars are running in the SCCA?
Thanks again for the help,
Scott

The cars actually have quite a few issues to be IT compliant:
-Aftermarket flywheel
-Additional radiator
-Optional fiberglass top
-GT3 ADJUSTABLE A-ARMS
Remember when reading the GCR: "If it doesn't say you can, then you can't"
It appears to be compliant in Super Touring STU at 2750. I am getting ready to read the new Super Touring rules again, so I will make sure there are no odd changes on the horizon.
I believe the OEM fuel tank is OK in super touring assuming that it is entirely between the axle center lines and between the frame rails... but you would need a fire system.
Personally I don't care that they are not compliant in IT, it's a regional category, so hopefully some of the regions are letting the cars run as is! That is potentially within the scope of their control.
Some (most?) regions are running ITE (I T Everything else) as a catch-all. I would think if nothing else an SPBOX could find a home there. But again, this is not national racing, so there is no Runoffs potential.
