Has been a crazy first half. Several cars written off including the hpd Honda crz. Mercer had early issues but has battled back to 3rd and the lead lap. I am about yo get in for my night stint. Rain has been on and off with lots of yellows and a short red flag period. Mer 3 & 1 are in the top 7... forget which one CJ is in..

Any other updates would be nice as "live timing and scoring" has been dead since yesterday evening.

Well, it was an exciting 3 hours and I could have easily stayed for 25H if not for family Someone need to bradcast the damn race! This is one of the most exciting race format. Where can you find miata mixed with Cup car, M3, Ford GT and open wheel racer for 25H ... in RAIN!

Here is my video from the track. Saw the CRZ flip - hope driver is OK

There was this orange E46 M3 with black strips eating up everyone on the track at TH! Wonder who is driving this M3?

I heard that CJ won his class.

Lots of bad driving I heard as well which included one car hitting a safety truck during a full course.

Yes... sorry for my short post last night but it was 430 am after my night stint and I was back in willows for a quick nap.

CJ did indeed win his class. Nice to meet him and dp35. Mercer took the overall win in the GT3 Cup car.

There was a little sketchy driving indeed. We were hit by no fewer than 4 Miatas and a Chevy Cobalt. 2 were minor racing incidents and the others were kinda blatant overdriving for conditions. One miata did hit a safety truck while we were under full course yellow for the Honda CRZ #93 when it rolled between turns 2 and 3. The rain also made it pretty slick... a dry line developed as the rain slowed but leaving this line was at your own peril. Worked great for us with softer suspension and less power... we were able to pass much more powerful cars in the corners. A couple fires and two rollovers... along with lots of muddy cars from offs in the rain.

Our lowly '86 E30 eta in E3 started 52nd and finished 26th overall. I had a blast, particularly my 2AM shift... love driving in the dark. Overall we had a great time... for a budget team we are quite happy and already planning our 2011 effort.

We've got tons of pics and such but again I am posting from a hotel... towed halfway home tonight. Will add more when I get home tomorrow afternoon.

Fantastic! Congratulation on your effort. Miata was out of control and I can't believe one of them nail the tow truck LOL

Congrats!

What an incredible team (and budget!) they put together for a non-professional race... someone really wanted to win!
