You must be talking about the start of the wet race. combination of the prefering to have faster one hand movement in the rain, because the sterring is so light, and my linkage is still dicy. I use a lot of rear wheel control into turns and have to be able to quickly put it in gear to use it. notice, i only do it under slow conditions. watch both starts of the two races and you can see the contrast.

Was that BMW the fastest of the weekend? Sure made some quick cars look slow alright!

My comment applies to both of your videos. How is one hand faster than two?

"I use a lot of rear wheel control into turns and have to be able to quickly put it in gear to use it." Huhhhhhhhh? What does that even mean?

"notice, i only do it under slow conditions." Is that the area between T2 and T11?

We had the fastest "RWD" lap time in the tuner and unlimited categories. A few of the Porsche Cup Cars had faster lap times.

Any specs on that BMW? What engine size, turbo, boost levels, compression ratio, E85 or race fuel?

Just curious. Post what you can without letting any cats out of the bag so to speak.

What that "mean" is this: With the sloppiness of the gear linkage. (much better than recent years) and the desire to slap it in gear when I want to have some rear wheel control, i want to not have to wait for a hand to drop to the shifter. Having flown for as long as I can remember, I fly 3 demensions with one hand, which is a heck of a lot more work.

how is one faster than two? what kind of question is that? yes, it is equal if not faster. I had seveal evasive moves that should prove that point in the rain.

In the rain, I prefer to have a lof of fredom to move the wheel and engage gears exactly when I need. Some how, all the the other "faster cars" were slower or spinning out, or tank slapping, so I think it MIGHT be working, especially on slicks!

And yes, most of the laps were very slow in the rain, so it was pretty relaxed by my standards. But, I like driving in the rain, even on slicks, but would have prefered a nice set of rains.

It's a 3.2L S54 engine. We're running low compression, 20psi, 110 Leaded fuel, and a detuned 730rwhp. It has a really FAT powerband due to the dual vanos which allows us to adjust the cams to whatever position we want at any rpm and any level of boost. So we're just running the stock cams and stock head. The turbo is a Precision 71.

For next season we're going to run a smaller intercooler up front, high compression and Q16 instead of 110 leaded. All to hopefully eliminate the lag that you see when we exit the apex. Then we'll probably turn the car up to around 800rwhp as the car was incredibly easy to drive with 730rwhp.

There is at least .5 second sitting in the exit out of the corkscrew.

But, Man, that thing has power!

That car is sick. That transmission is retarded. Amazing.
