Make no mistake. The Ferrari was on street tires. They did not have a DOT track tire and what they had was full tread blocks, not shaved.

I bought my car from K-Pax Racing in April of 2009. It is Michael Galatis' 2007 WC car and the back-up car for 2008.

Street tires??? hardly, you mean DOTs, yes. I was on DOTs too.

I was talking to the one of the engineers from that team. he was going on and on about tires, redesigning the tires from michelin, the 800hp, etc etc. when I asked the times, he said 1;37s. He asked what car i had what were my times, and I told him I had the 25 year old 928 and under 1:37. He laughed when I told him I drove it to the track.

Who did you get your car from ? Im trying to think of the guy that ran it in 2004 with PCA. actuallly, it made my highlight reel. I think its the same car. #22

Ferrari was running new Pirelli Troffeo tires with a 60 treadwear, not really street tires but they did have block treads.

It was fun driving on track and watching that Scud blast down the front straight

The only mistake I made was with your car. Kpax car, sure, thats right! I thought it looked familar! well partial mistake, but are you sure it wasnt pobst, not Galati's. Certainly was the newer car, you are right. I do remember it from the GT races. The tires are DOT Rs . sure, full tread, but DOT Rs. similar to toyo RA1s, but probably stickier. still even on those tires, with anything close to half of 800hp, they should have been running 1:35.

Yeah, i saw that on the web somewhere. so, if he is 350ish, that makes sense. I certainly had a little bit of gain on the straights, but not much. I thought there was something wrong with my car, but if he is at near 350, all is ok with mine. I did do a 1:36.1, so my car must be working. plus he was on slicks and started to beat me in the turns until I really started to get more agreesive at the end of the race.

Im sorry i diidnt come by and say hello. I didnt recognize all the new cars!

GMG's car is gutted. if not, you should gain on street trim 996gt3 as you did on me and 171mph years ago.

My car was Galati's, not Pobsts.

On Saturday, the car had a small problem with the heat generated by the exhaust. They also had to get better brake pads. Ultimately, I think they had a car with horsepower they just could not maximize for the track.

Yes, that is a GA/WC splitter. 3R made mine, and it's a very well done piece. They still have the moulds if you'd like one.

Here is the video from the main event
This race started out wet and ended up dry. That can be the nice thing about a 50min race,
I ended up 2nd in class behind B. Sofro, and Anderson beat me to get me back from the prior race of winning in the rain. Now we are tied in the driver points.

This was a lot of fun.

Thanks. The guys at 3R / K-Pax really turn out a nice car and they've been great to deal with subsequently.

Pobst did run #22. Since this was the back-up car in 2008, I guess they had it prepped for him...
