Default A Rookie Mistake during the Fall Classic Race at Tremblant...

This is the 3rd race of Sunday afternoon where I was fighting for the 1st place of my class when the security car came on track. I did then a rookie mistake at the restart (cold tires after many laps behind the SC) and I had to do what I could from the last position !

It was a great weekend and I can't believe that the season is almost done for me...

This is a racing weekend organized by the track and its great fun. The GT Challenge category is divided in 6 classes and 2 run groups (A\B\C\D and E\F) based on qualified lap times. Also there is a Vintage cars class along with a G70 class (944 mostly). On top of that the final race of the Canadian Formula 1600 championship is held each day. Great racing and ton of fun ! There was 165 race cars registered. I never saw the paddock so crowded... and there is also plenty of spectators coming for the event.

They do the same type of event in the spring ("Spring Classic") and you should make the trip up north for sure !

Looks like a lot of fun on a great track with bunch of nice cars. From the looks of those trees the winter classic doesn't look far off

Thanks for sharing, looks like a blast! After so many laps at your home track you must be kicking yourself for spinning exiting the esses!!
I'm not one to judge, but it looks like the cup in front of you had a tough time figuring out the lines...

Great driving, you sure made the 010 cup in front of you very nervous.

I still can't believe I missed such a good opportunity to win my 1st race !

To be really honest I was on fresh tires while he was on used ones... on the other hand the 2010 Cup car is much faster ! Normand is an experienced driver but I spent almost the summer on this track so it wasn't really fair... I hope we can have a PCA Club Race there in the future so the local guys can have an edge for once !

Yes it was him. He did very well all weekend long within our class finishing either 1st or 2nd in each of the 3 sprint races and the Enduro.
