Yeah, a very impressive setup, really nice cars, friendly bunch of French Canadians. I was down there on vacation and took my sons over to drive the karts. My buddy Shane Lewis took me out in a Radical for a few laps. I was just wondering if you and I had met then.
Also, I'm a McGill Dental grad, been up to Le Circuit a few times way back then, but never drove it. It's on my bucket list!

Good stuff.. If you are a rookie, I dont know what that makes me! Sub rookie question, those shifts sound super fast, if this a 6 speed car?

Thanks for not replacing the sound with music

Rookie in racing cars... did a lot of lapping and Kart racing before. This is a 997 GT3 Cup car so it has a 6 speed sequential tranny.

This is the first race that was done on Saturday afternoon:

We crossed the finish line behind the security car because it started to rain pretty heavily at the end... it was scary to see many cars spinning at low speed behind the SC ! Should have been red flagged in my view.

I see, you are a rookie who driver a gt3 cup. mmm OK - That really made me feel better

Yes it does. You still need to blip on the downshifts but no need to push it on the upshifts.

At 49 years old, I thought I should commit myself to get up to speed quickly... people shouldn't be that intimidated by the Cup cars. They are actually not that difficult to race if you have the right set of basic skills. Racing is racing whichever car you have to do it. The fun is to race against comparable cars no matter if its a slow or fast car. They are fast and easier to find these days. Just look at how many good cup cars are for sale on Rennlist !
