2010 Italian Grand Prix

The problem with my picks this year is that I'm assuming everything will go to plan. I've picked Vettel quite a bit, not knowing that he recently was possessed by the Kamakazi supremist Takuma Sato. However, I do think that things will go to plan in Italy. The weather, the rate of development, and the momentum all favor Lewis. IMO this would be a great time for Mclaren, if they're going to assume anything all year, that they've got the car, minus any development, to win this race. They should, from an outsider's perspective, be pouring all their resources into making it better for Japan and the other races that are left.

No one with an F-Duct will have an advantage so they will probably be taken off. Big HP will win this race and Mercedes has it.
It's hard to discount the Red Bulls, but their Renault lump isn't the best when it comes to HP.
Ferrari always does well at Monza and Force India has the MB in the back with a low DF combination could be a threat to the back end of the podium.
McLaren will have the speed, but without the F-duct, their advantage is minimized.
F it. I'm going with Schumacher. Why not? He has a Mercedes engine. Too bad the aero on the MB sucks, but everyone is going to strip it off to get the DF as low as possible. It would be nice to see him on the top step one last time

I wouldn't simply assume that all the teams will be running minimal downforce.
Based on recent events, I would expect Alonso to qualify with a full (downforce) wet setup while wearing a personal flotation device, since he needs all the help he can get in case Luca sheds a tear and the track becomes wet.
Just my 2 cents...I'd like to see Massa win and Alonso DNF., that's about as generous as I can be right about now.

Ferrari will undoubtably pull out all of the stops on home soil for the Tifosi who seem stuck in "anger" and/or "denial" about her performance (or lack thereof) up to this point.
I think Hamilton, will probably take it. If Alonso continues on his mediocre path he'll be lucky to see the podium in spite of all the resources Ferrari will undoubtably pour into the race.

I'm going with Hammy too, on "fast" tracks he's pretty tough to beat notwithstanding the McLaren's inherent speed in those situations.

I'm going with the odds makers on this race.
Webber
Hamilton
Vettel
I think Red Bull will find a bit of straight line speed in the car and make it more competitive.
Alonso will slot in somewhere between 4th and 8th. I will not be surprised if Massa out performs his teammate. AGAIN.
