Default Pagid Orange squeal like a pig.......

in street driving in my Cayman S.......

Placed them for track events at LRP, but didn't change for street use.....

Can anything be done to eliminate very annoying squeal or placing the stock pads is the only solution for street usage?

Thanks.....

Back when I started with DE's is tried everything...even running the stock anti squeal shims. Nothing worked, it is the compound and how the pad is reacting to the rotor. Car company's work hard with pad manufactures to eliminate squeal with stock pads, hence the compound, weights on the pads and anti-squel shims.

Real men drive cars with brakes that squeal on the street and work on the track.

Pagid Orange are embarrasing to drive on the street. Stab the brakes at the stop lights to avoid the noise. Start shopping for a rear bumper

My oem squeel just the same..
I just can't brake hard enough anywhere to make it go away, so I leave R29's in for daily driving..

Thats strange I am amazed how quiet the Pagid Oranges are for street use on my BMW (996 calipers)..havent pulled them out from the last track event and they seem OK. The rear carbotechs on the other hand....jeez.

Same problem here (996TT with Pagid yellows). I just got used to it. People sure look at you funny at stoplights.

Just to make sure we all understand, do they just "squeal like a pig"? Or squeal like a stuck pig? I'd think the latter would be louder.

I think, instead of needing different pads on the street, you just need a different attitude. I love getting horrendous brake squeal coming up to intersections... and waving my arms while shouting, "No brakes!! Out of my way! No brakes!"

They just squeal loudly Van..........

I think I will leave the pig out of the equation, before animal activists get on my case........
