in street driving in my Cayman S.......
Placed them for track events at LRP, but didn't change for street use.....
Can anything be done to eliminate very annoying squeal or placing the stock pads is the only solution for street usage?
Thanks.....

Back when I started with DE's is tried everything...even running the stock anti squeal shims. Nothing worked, it is the compound and how the pad is reacting to the rotor. Car company's work hard with pad manufactures to eliminate squeal with stock pads, hence the compound, weights on the pads and anti-squel shims.

Just to make sure we all understand, do they just "squeal like a pig"? Or squeal like a stuck pig? I'd think the latter would be louder. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think, instead of needing different pads on the street, you just need a different attitude. I love getting horrendous brake squeal coming up to intersections... and waving my arms while shouting, "No brakes!! Out of my way! No brakes!"
