Sorry again for the late replies. Just finished a 2 day with Schattenbaum, horribly hot, and i am out of gas (pun intended)

I could hear him fine, we held a conversation thru most of the drive.. Audio quality is not this camera's forte. Its in a bad location yet until the roll bar is in...

Tires: 18" 245/305 RA1s shaved to 5/32nds, now about 0/32nds ...

Did not know these items were 'mobile'/plug and play.....

Thanks for posting.
See above and my OP. I understand the hand signals shown. Some of them relate to gearing but others relate to braking markers..

Cool thing is he tailored the drive to my car and his advise re the above is specific to my set up/vehicle. He also gave me some advise on car set up after the run. Very generous with his time (esp given the work-out he had just gone thru and his schedule for the next few weeks.. whew)...

No, not as much on the gators for sure

Good discussion on 'lines', guys.

OK, well then, did the TRG Event teach me anything?

I think so, but judge for yourself (if interested of course..). Certainly felt a little better out there, but still a long ways to go for sure.

Cello,
great post. really makes me wanna get back to Tbolt asap.
really interesting to see Andy going down to 2nd gear several times.

at the end of the straight, was Andy downshifting from 5th to 3rd or was he going to 4th first?

Andy is a great guy and can make anything go very fast. Been setting lap records in GTC the last few races in ALMS. He holds the American Street Luge Title. For ****s and giggles at T-bolt in the evening he had one of the mechanics set up a tow rope and pull him around on a skate board at 40 mph. At LRP this weekend he did the down hill on it. Yeehaw!

CJ,

Nice lightening video from schatt. Not many cars. Did heat keep people away?

To me your much smoother.

Looks like your taking a different line going into the lightbulb. Much quicker getting to the inside.

Well done. Soon you will be instructing me. I look forward to that.

Was he just blipping and rowing or did he let out the clutch every time?

I heard about this - my son was the driver of the ATV and he said he was getting scared at the speed the ATV was going but all Andy wanted was "Faster - Faster"
