Yes, it does.

Your car would be a hoot at 2200LB though! Fiberglass everything would do it!

The dyno numbers I have seen on GTC1 are closer to GTS4 hp/wght ratios. You would run ballast (heavy) and fit into GTS3. You may need around 200 lbs ballast.

Paolo,

Your run needs to be "corrected" SAE. Use gear closest to 1:1, no overdrive gear. Complete 3 runs on the dyno. If you have the software and your run file you can see what your corrected run is otherwise ask for the file from where you had it done.

TWS is in good shape, and new ownership has been very good about bringing about some needed improvements. NASA has a race going CW scheduled July 31- Aug 1.

Assuming 211HP and 185T at 3060 lbs you would be at the top of GTS2 (14.50). Just barely. This is the ideal place to be in a class.

Add. The only thing that concerns me about running sprints with NASA is the MUCH less valued cars we would run with. (Think Mark K.) I don't think a guy in a $5k honda is going to be as worried about swapping paint as a guy in a $30-200k Porsche.

This is the good thing about Nasa, you are able to do most mods and still run in a certain class depending on how much weight you want to add or remove.

Check my edit in the above post for the one main caveat.

Randy, speaking from first hand experience this is not an issue. Nasa runs 13/13 for many classes including GTS. Out of class cars are seldom an issue and with split starts, you don't see someone racing you for the overall win because the slower cars typically grid ahead of you and the fastest of them still finish just ahead of the fastest in the next grid.

Not sure about other regions but GTS 2 runs with the Autobahn group in mid-Atlantic. That's nice because GTS 2 is generally the fastest group in Autobahn. Other groups are Thunder and Stinger. GTS 3-5 run with Thunder.

Thunder and Stinger have all kinds of cars, even Hondas. Autobahn has Spec3 Spec E30, GTS 1-2 and 944 cups.

GTS 2 here is good close racing with guys of a similar mind regarding their cars. The other classes are also very respectful of each other so far as my experience has been.

So my <$9000 944 meets your criteria because it a Porsche or because its more than $5k ?

Let me tell you we care about our cheap cars just as much as you and your expensive car. I run a race car that I know that I can absorb the loss of - and thats why I run a 944 and not my 964. Comments like the above are some of the reasons that jokes about Porsches and porcupines exist

Sorry - one of my hot buttons.
