I'm in section 33 as well.

The PCA event of Crescent street has been canceled this year according to http://www.rennsport.ca/

However, there is a great Rennlist GTG on Saturday organized by Matt Lane: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-together.html

So decided to drive up to Montreal with my fiancé Saturday to see the race and have a nice drive.

I wish I could go I'll really miss it. I was at the race in '07 & '08 (obviously missed '09), but it's just not going to work this year. I also moved (I'm in NC now, no more Chicago). Hit Freddy up for drinks (he's good people) and if you go to old Montreal and stay away from the crazyness you may run into Newey and Coulthard like we and a few other rennlisters did.

Section 33 is pretty good (24 is my favorite) and you'll have a big screen in front of you to follow the action all the way around the track. Rent a Kangaroo TV and you will also have access to live stats.

Have fun, maybe I'll see you guys in 2011.

This track is difficult on brakes and tires (surface more than cornering), so to me this favors Button and hinders Vettel and Hamilton...I'm going with Jenson (he has the better car).

Button

- Low downforce, long straights...if Mclaren's last race wasn't just a fluke, this is their circuit
- Lewis loves street circuits, but Button will probably be easier on the equipment (good analysis MJ)
- I'm not going to decide until we know whether Red Bull are running their F duct system
- Look for MS to best Rosberg, Alonso to best Massa, and Kubica to be way ahead of Petrov
- I really don't know who'll be quicker at Red Bull.

Did anyone read anything about what was said internally at RB after last week's incident? I didn't see any spillover from the wreck, or did i just miss it?

Thinking of driving up Taconic State Pkwy after exiting Manhattan to head to Montreal is this a nice drive?

Worth the trouble?

Yes it's pretty. Watch the speed limit (55MPH) or you'll pay dearly.

The Thruway is much faster OTOH.

Thank you Sir - Learning my way around NYC.

Are you driving up as well?

Going to DMV this morning for plates and NYS Driver's License.

I am assuming there is a Metro NYC PCA club and there are some organized DE events. Your advise would help.

Driving up with a few friends on Thursday morning. You're welcome to join, PM me for more info if you like.

http://metronypca.org/ is a well run club with a packed schedule. You can also check http://www.nnjr-pca.com/ and http://www.cvrpca.org/ Then there is http://hv.pca.org/ - a smaller but very friendly club with lots of character.

Good luck at the DMV - I prefer going to the dentist for a root canal over spending time at the DMV office on 34th street

Bump.

this thread fell to the bottom of the 2nd page!!!???!??! With so many listers going you would think there would be some hype going into practice tomorrow.

Those that are going, post some pictures for the rest of us that couldn't make it. Any pics of Larry Herman getting sloppy at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night earn bonus points

(love ya Larry, just trying to see if your awake)

You're not kidding... It is a scenic drive for sure, but I got tagged for 74 in a 55 on the way up to Albany enroute to Montreal in '07.

There were 5 cops sitting on the left side of the road, and the one guy just stood in the middle of the road and pointed at me to pull over. 2 minutes later, I was on my way again ... I swear they must have had the tickets pre-written, because that is the fastest I've ever gotten a ticket by far.

But ... to get back on topic ... RAIN is in the forecast... should spice things up at a race that is already typically pretty active.

Pete, Wayne, where are our Rennlist F1 news?

There's been two major contracts renewed, someone has bitched more about Ferrari's poor development etc. yet no one has said a word...
