RIP. I agree that speculation doesn't help anyone, could add to the grief that friends and family are feeling and could complicate liability issues but facts are certainly useful to those who organize and participate in DEs. Better to get the facts out there so that there is less of a need to speculate.

I would have to disagree with this. And further, there is no "need" to speculate if you don't have the facts. The simple fact is clear. An instructor lost his life to an on-track ACCIDENT. Further details are NOT relevant to the situation today. To share the details would be disrespectful to the family without their consent.

As far as details that could have contributed to it. Well, that investigation is not concluded. Many variables have to be taken into account as well as driver and witness statements. This is way too early to do anything other than offer prayers for the friends, family, and greater pca community that he gave so much to.

Very sad news for the family and friends.

LVD - please pass the best wishes of the RennList community on to the family of the instructor that passed and your fellow PCA friends.

Very sad news.
Teachers are the most valuable asset in our society. I am grateful for the commitment from my DE instructors - helping to teach me safety, while having fun.

I suspect this is suppose to read OTHER DRIVERS but if not I would like to speak with my mother and father. Could you arrange this?
Missed you Dell. What's up?

As far as speculation goes, I think this should be left out of this discussion as well. Having the CORRECT FACTS could be helpful for future safety discussions and DE regulations.

Condolences to family and friends.

Randy, I'm not sure what you mean. I meant what I typed. The driver of the car that had the instructor in it was what I referred to as driver statement. And witnesses is what I refer to as drivers on track that might have seen the event take place.

When we feel the facts as best we know them are concluded we can them work on this as a learning moment and speak further.

Let's chat offline Randy.
