Driving on race pads on the street will kill your rotors. They are not designed to work cold like normal pads, they don't have much friction when cold so they just dig in to the rotors. On my '73 I use downshifting and the handbrake to stop when testing on the street, as without power brakes the car barely slows down with cold race pads.

Default PFC Compound 97

I love them.
Used them on my 01 C4 for at least four years. Now use them on my 1979 pictured below. I have 944T front calipers (Carrera Rotors) and stock SC rear calipers. Great Grip. I have about six 84-86 cars that use these pads at our DE's.
If you attend FDR or TMR events in California I bring rotors and pads for these cars to the track.

01 - higher initial bite, higher torque, better modulation and release than the 97's...it just doesnt last as long as the 97 compound

06 - very similar to the 01's but not quite as much bite and torque...it's an endurance compound and last a lot longer than the 01...imo, much better endurance compound than the 97 compound

used Pagid yellows for two years on my 2000 cup car 4 piston( not upgraded ) cup car.. never disappointed... then switched last year to PFC 97 blacks and wow they are great.. my only regret is that i did not do it sooner... I will start my Spec boxster with PFC 97 all the way around and if not happy will make the appropriate adjustments..

Well it's official :

I will be carrying Performance Friction PADS for all Porsche cars -
...AND ROTORS for the 996 and Cayman S as well as for the 996 GT3 front; shipment is on the way!

Hang tight, I'll be working over the next week to update the site -

In the meantime, e-mail me at rennstore@comcast.net with what you will require; I WILL have it shortly. It will be worth the brief wait until they arrive - about 4-5 business days is all

Glad to hear Craig. If you price nicely I'll be buying a few sets for a 99 Box this season!

I've been useing Pagid RS29 Yellows for my 2009 Carrera S at the track. Which Perf. Friction compound is recomended for my car and compares to Pagid Yellows?
