SpeedTV used to broadcast it every year...I remember one year it was an absolute torrential downpour.
Usually a pretty good race, not as good as Supernats or perhaps Rock Island Grand Prix, but pretty good.

Can anybody attend?
It's trade only, so you must prove you own, manage or represent a racing business or professional race team. Race fans are not admitted. For more information, go to the Attendee Registration page.

Yeah, I went a few years ago and remember that the general public was not allowed.
I got in via a friend, who had pre-registered me under his company, who was an exhibitor.

That was a fun race to watch. Most of those guys like Luizzi are 5 foot nothing then there was poor Justin Wilson at about 6'3 stuffed into the kart.
By the way, the pubic could have just walked right around back of the convention center. There was no ticketing or credentials etc....

Those chassis are called an extended front porch. AFAIK, not all the major manufacturers produce them.

Interesting photo.
It looks as though he is wearing his standard F1 (Nomex) driving suit.
Nomex is not allowed in karting, only Cordura (Level 2) or equivalent, for abrasion resistance.
I wonder if they simply allowed him to wear his regular suit or if he had a Level 2 Cordura suit made to look like his regular suit?
