Sure Freddy......you are always welcome to drove any of my cars.......

BTW, thanks for the T-bolt racing videos.......... I am watching them now as I sit here in the Philadelphia airport.......

Now I know the difference between driving at the limit (you) and driving in the comfort zone (me)......

The backseat is TINY. If your passengers have legs they will not be comfortable on any sort of extended trip. What you want is the RS6! Picked one up about 3 weeks ago - it's truly THE perfect touring car. I know the RS4 is a more raw, "real" sports car than the RS6, but the -4 is so far less of a sports car than your Cayman that you may as well sacrifice a little more sport and gain a lot more utility.

I imagine AWD will be helpful for an all-around car.

My kids are 9 and 11, they won't mind the smaller backseat.....
Sean I never was a BMW fan....plus the AWD will come handy in New England weather....

RS6 is nice but....a bit bigger than I am used to...

+1 on the RS4 being a bit small in the back seat, if it's kids ok but for long trips or out with adults, I'd get the 6... Last few go rounds with bimmer electrics and windows I'd go Audi or better, AMG....

Yes but really boring if you know how to drive. RWD + snow tires is a LOT more fun. E92 4door M3 with PDK (or however BMW calls it)

Agreed. It is all but impossible to get the RS6 to slide on dry pavement (at least on the street). But AWD in snow is just as much fun as RWD. Damn boring on the dry/damp, though.

The best in the snow, at least in my opinion, is old-school Porsche AWD. Nail the gas and enjoy the RWD action until, a couple seconds later, the viscous fluid heats up enough to engage the front wheels and save your ***.

11 turns into 14 and "I can't fit in the back seat, DAD" real fast.

I almost took the plunge on an RS4 convertible. I have to confess that what changed my mind was that the ultimate performance numbers were disappointing (in light of the HP and $$$). Lots of weight to pull around. At the time I was driving a Mercedes C32 AMG and they had virtually identical 0-60 times. The price diff from S4 to RS4 was huge, but there wasn't a similar gap in performance.

But I LOVE Audi interiors.
