Default Racecraft books and/or videos.......

Are there any out there?

Any good ones?

There is got to be another way to "speed" up the pure racecraft learning curve other than just seat time.......

Am I dreaming?

P.S. I have the Speed Secrets ones already.......

P.P.S I would have thought that by now some of the RL contributors here would have published their own already......

I've been thinking about it. Nothing like getting paid for your opinions!

Here are my opinions on racecraft:

More gas, less brake.
Go straighter.
Don't crash.

I would hope to get a bit more if I were to hire you as a coach......

+1

I would add:

Do all of the above better than your competition.

Would you frequent a DMD / DDS who rushed thru the whole "reach in your mouth and start yanking things" learning process ?

Am I dreaming ?
No, "hallucinating" is a better word.

P.S. I have the Speed Secrets ones already.......
Are you familiar with that old phrase "He's taught you everything YOU know, but not everything HE knows..." ?

P.P.S I would have thought that by now some of the RL contributors here would have published their own already......
Let's see...."Get gnawed at by a succession of middle-men who each take a cut of the revenue, and offer wisdom to the whole fetid pool of weasels who are likely trying to grab the same brass ring that I am" ? Umm....no.

This is a competitive sport. If you want big help, prepare to ante up for it. The good stuff is worth more than a beer, or $1.99 in a used book at Amazon.com.

Skip Barber's book (Going Faster) was OK, but primarily helped me by giving me the vocabulary to discuss car dynamics, and to help me understand the science behind what my butt was already telling me in the car. It's a book that is due for an update.

Yes Greg I agree with you.......

I have both the video and book.....

You would think with all the wisdom here on RL someone would come up with a guide for a rookie to become somewhat competitive......

afterall, no one here is making a living out of it (racing professionally, I mean)...........

Go run the most competitive league at F1 Boston. Cheapest/easiest way to work on racecraft.

Thanks Joe, I am planning on it over the winter........

There is got to be something out there that spells out the basics.... no?

I was figuring:

1)read the basics
2)hire a coach
3)become very competitive

If #3 does not happen repeat #2 again and again..........

I think your expecting better results before the process is completed.
