Can you possibly commit a session or two with him for me....?

New GT3 car to ride along in....

Thanks T.

Perhaps this will be some extra incentive....

ERV,
Would be happy to. I have not seen any instructor assignments and I promised a new racer I would give him some pointers as well but would be happy to go out a session with you.

T - That was my question; where is the GBRS/GCRS forum? Can you link me?

What do you mean.....?

It's the same old forum that you posted in before.

Assuming you just lost your bookmarks or something like that, click forums from the main page here and it'll take you right to it - http://www.gulfcoastraceseries.com/

And erm, thanks for hooking Russell up.

Did you get my email....?

Russell, that looks awesome....seriously...

The only thing I might have done was to carry the red stripe onto the hood and either encircle the number or incorporate a large enough red circle into the hood stripe to host the numbers in white on top of the red.

Looks killer as is too though.

And what do I know anyway....you might have seen one of my race car paint schemes....

Oh....and, Scott's your man.....he's the only instructor I ever had.
I always try to hook the people that I know personally up with him.
Regularly at the front among a gang of 944s too.

Unfortunately, he bumped his head, sold his race car and bought a motorcycle....

Wow, that's almost exactly what I did just last night. I carried the stripe down the hood, left a break for the numbers and the Porsche crest, and continued down the bumper to the top of the radiator intake. I thought about a purple version for the trip to NPR but I really like the red on white. I'm at TWS this weekend, but will snap a picture so you can check out your design.

I appreciate you guys getting me a pre-arranged instructor ride. I'm looking forward to track time!

Ha! C'mon John, I'll meet you in Lafayette. That's a 6 hour drive for me, maybe half that for you?

Cool, I'll be looking for the pics.

I know you meant "Tiger Purple" but during our yearly (to return soon) PCA MG race, the race/DE groups are colored purple/gold/green and everything is themed Mardi Gras.

I was only nudging John because he told me and Eon at TWS and EC that he'd come over one day....

According to legend, "Tiger Purple" and "Tiger Gold" are derived from Mardi Gras colors, but yes, I meant Tiger Purple. The MG race sounds like fun... gives a whole new meaning to "krewe"!

OK, here are the pics I promised. I think I'm going to bag the red stripe on the front bumper, but leave the one on the hood as-is.

From the front

From the side

From the rear

Thanks for the pics Russell! I'm going to set that one from the back as my background so I can get used to the view

Ha ha, yep, funny enough, our corner workers are officially known as 'The Korner Krewe'....!

Russell, the car looks great on track and to tell you the truth, I like the front stripe.

Seeing the car now from all angles....the only thing you are missing is to finish the rear bumper cover lower with the same red as on the front splitter and side rockers.

Two small crossed flags as a logo, top dead center on your windshield..... one Texas, one Louisiana and you are all set.

I'll have the decal for you as a gift when I see you....

Russell, I'm working on having an area renowned Jambalaya cook on site to cook a 75 person chicken and sausage Jambalaya for the DE.

Cold drinks (the PCA legal kind) will be supplied by Mardi Gras region.

Bring your Tuperware.....

Hey, if any lurkers might have been on the fence about the MG DE, the region is doing a first time Ladies Only multi session run group up until lunch break in an attempt to get the ladies interested.

The Ladies will go off for a Dutch Treat luncheon at either Nottaway Plantation historical home or Oak Alley.

Great excuse to talk your wives into letting you come out to play.

Ladies pay only $75 for the DE lapping.

This coming weekend, Saturday, the 26th so no rushing to get home for work on Monday.

Registrar contact info can be found at www.mgpca.org

Sounds great! Might work on the rear bumper too - right above my Texas License plate which reads LAN8IV

I didn't realize that you and my mom were so close!

I'm still debating whether to tow or not. It's a long drive to pull the trailer for the benefit of driving on the R6's for one day, but those same miles in the car are sure to produce a ticket.

Does she drive an American Eagle coach with an LSU themed cook trailer with spinners on the wheels....?

The person in question is LSU Tiger Death Valley tail gate certified.....

The track is a little tougher on tires than TWS if that helps you out any.
That said.....in the event of a downpour, they bring out a hig sweeper between sessions to clear standing puddles.

The other GT3 listed will be on Michelin PS Cups or Toyo ra1s rain or shine.
