I've not yet bought it, but this application http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/ really intrigues me. Not so much as a data logger replacement for Traqmate type devices, as a wireless OBDII reader. Also, I suppose you might use it to record OBDII output while you are on the track, and then sync that data to your DAS.

The Samsung Omnia has internet, WiFi, graphical interface and Windows Mobil. Does email great and looks kinda like the iPhone. It has the loudest ring I have ever heard and have to hold the phone away from my ear at mid volume because it has great incoming volume.
The cons: In bright sunlight it is hard to see the screen (lots of them are like that) and the vibration could be a little better.
Other than that, I am very happy with the phone which has all the goodies like opera, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel & etc. Plays Video well and has a 5 megapixel camera with all kinds of goodies.

I don't understand this when compared to the iPhone. How is BB's email better? Have you used an iPhone synching with Exchange? Awesome. I have people at work handing in their work issued/paid-for BBs to use their personal/self-funded iPhones once they started using their iPhone for their work (Exchange) mail.

Oh, and you can ditch your Blackberry Server. Cheaper IT solution...

Sure looks like the iPhone has a lot of fans (no surprise there).
I have been told by several users that, as a phone, the iPhone is pretty inadequate, as in poor reception (not just AT&T network) and sound.
Thoughts?

Crackberry--get a business-oriented one rather than the Curve. Excellent international usability.

iPhones are for steers and queers.

The Iphone is a very good PHONE itself, but I suppose that is network dependant. Nary a problem here in SoCal.

The iPhone is a fine phone wherever AT&T's coverage is good.

Today I just had another person at work decide to use her personal iPhone over the company-paid Blackberry......

iPhone..

Yes there are games and music, etc. But there are also very helpful, intuitive, creative apps for the iPhone and they keep coming.

As far as the international calls there are 2 easy fix(s).. Jail brake it (means have it go on another more international friendly service besides AT&T) or add a free app called Skype. You can use your phone through data service (internet) virtually free. That is what I use.

And if you want to remain uncool you can get a pink one.

I'm very pleased with my TMobile MyTouch. I haven't owned an iPhone but it seems quite similar, a lot of apps are out there, Android is trouble free, and it costs less than the iPhone contracts ($25/mo unlimited data).

Funny how some threads are deemed OT and moved with a bunch of fanfare from ACORN, er, I mean moderators, and some are not. Not trying to have this moved, but just sharin' an observation.

And a fair observation it is, Tucker - I hope that by labeling it OT, I would avoid distracting our fellow readers.

Thank you for that info - I knew I hung around with racers for some reason...
