This is bad news re: Fikse. About a month ago I suspected something was up as a friend was trying to get in touch with Fikse to buy a set of wheels and was not able to. Not only do I really like their product (I have 5 sets at this point), I was always very happy with their service. Over the last 6 or so years I sent in a number of wheels at various points for service, probably averaging 2 wheels per year. In every instance they were very prompt in getting them back to me. The most recent was about 3 months ago...sent in a wheel that needed a new rim half. It took them about a week longer than it had in the past (I was told a key person was on vacation for a week) but I still got the wheel back in a little over a 2 week turnaround. I'm really glad I sent it in when I did and didn't wait.

OK, in half seriousness, who would I need to contact to buy Fikse. Not the wheels, the company.
If anyone has a contact, I'll take it.
I've been looking for a new business opportunity, and this my be it.

Be careful who you trust, I'm one of the customers they ripped off at the end, even though they obviously new they were going under when they happily took my money.

I think they are plenty tough, most of the GrandAm field was on them, including all of the TRG 911's and the TRG GTO's before that...

First time I have ever heard that Fikse's bend easily, but maybe I haven't been listening. I have been using them for DE for 9 years and haven't bent one yet (though I try not to crash the curbs).
I would be reluctant to run them as street wheels, but that says more about our Massachusetts roads than anything else.

Where/what parts of a track are you guys driving? I've had zero bending issues with my Fikses while on the track, except for that time I hit a large rock coming out of T1 at Summit, which was no fault of the wheels.

The cost of fixing these were almost the cost of a new wheel. By contrast, fixing my BBS bent wheels was minimal. Rather than fix the Fikses, I decided to get rid of them and buy CCW wheels. It cost about the same for brand new CCW wheels as it would have cost to fix the Fikses.
