Will new Porsches come with the Farfegnugen sticker on them?

I just hope the takeover will remain somewhat transparent in terms of the cars being designed and built.

Wiedeking's fall from grace is speeding up.The guy who saved Porsche from going out of business is now out. I think he started to believe all of his press clippings.

Fall from grace maybe, but a 100 million euro severance package makes the landing alot more comfortable.

So the world's most profitable car company wasn't so profitable.
WW was a virus on the company, driven by ego with little regard for Porsche.
Marketing ruled, Engineering took a back seat in all instances.
He wanted to kill Motorsports very early on but decided to let it be, albeit with a much reduced budget.

He never achieved his beloved goal of 100K cars/year at any cost.
His gamble on the Panamera may turn out to be his Phaeton.

Interesting to see what happens to the proposed models that were 'less than favored' by PAG as competing with the Boxster/Cayman.
I would definitely expect to see a drastic reduction in the endless 'variants' put forth by PAG Marketing.

I would also expect that the RSR will no longer be developed and an R8 based replacement fielded to compete with the Ferrari and pehaps AM.

Deals Alert
from The Wall Street Journal

Volkswagen's plan to acquire Porsche Automobil Holding's auto business has run into fresh complications over a potential multibillion-dollar tax liability as well as growing tensions between the two camps, according to people familiar with the matter.

The two sides tried unsuccessfully over the weekend to find a way around a tax payment that could be triggered by the sale of Porsche's sports-car operation to Volkswagen, the centerpiece of a complicated three-way deal also involving Qatar. If unsolved, the issue could scupper the deal as currently conceived, forcing Porsche to find another solution to its liquidity problems.

I sure hope it happens...
Hmm... Would I rather see the "father of 917" (Piech) or the "father of Cayenne & Panamera" (Dr. W.) as a head of Porsche? Easy, dump the Dr. W. already!

I want this to happen since then we'll rid of the evil Dr. W. and hopefully Porsche can be concentrate in making SPORTSCARS instead of truck & family cars and get back in prototype racing!

Look at Ferrari, does the stuff they do (all the cool sportscars, racing in F1 & GT racing) suck because it's owned by FIAT?

Also, look at the other sportscar brands VW owns (Bugatti, Lambo) and the cars they produce... You see boring trucks & ugly sedans?

This mirrors my position exactly! It can't happen too soon, and is happening way too late! Nothing VW could do could be worse for Porsche than what WW has done.
