Why is there no club race at Mt. Tremblant?

I would be looking forward to it. You might check with 944Cup, as they've supposedly got a date within their Canadian Regional Championship, and we've been known to piggyback with PCA.

I think that there will be a NASA race at the Fall Classic at Tremblant (tentative), which is usually the third weekend of the month of September (save this year) since so many years that I can't remember.
The PCA club race weekend would be a different weekend. So, maybe the NASA race could be run in conjunction with the PCA club race.
Bob, you might want to talk to Simon, he is now the 944 Cup Canada region director and wants to do something at Tremblant. Maybe we could join forces together and make one nice racing weekend.

We're showing a tentative date for the Canadian Chapter of 944Cup at Mt. Tremblant on the last weekend in Sept, 2010. They're calling it the CMT Fall Classic, whatever that is.
Canada Chapter is also showing three dates in conjunction with PCA; Mid-Ohio, Glen and Mosport Club Races.

It's a fantastic series, a real points championship, not just stand alone races.

Perhaps the charging for the race needs to be done differently. Let's say that a region made a stated goal of breaking even for a race (or even making a predefined profit).
The charging for the race could be the normal $350 for a sprint race, and $150 for the enduro, but then an additional refundable $150 is added. The idea is that the $150 would be used to help the region break even, but once it did, the excess would be refunded.
So, for Mosport, there were approximately 80 racers and about 40 DE participants. Each participant would be charged an extra $50 and everybody would get a $100 refund (out of the $150). This allows the region to break even and spreads the pain out so that it doesn't hurt any one person too much.
I'm up for creative solutions for financing so that regions don't have to slowly go broke when they host races.
