Bob Bell Q&A: Renault confident of better Silverstone result Renault came away empty-handed from the last round in Istanbul. However, with high-speed Silverstone expected to suit the R29 and with a number of revisions due to be introduced on the car, technical director Bob Bell is expecting Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet to have a better time of things at this weekend’s British Grand Prix…

Button and the Brawn GP1 have shown no apparent weakness yet.
Aero and mechanical grip, cooling and reliability, no KERS nonsense, a well trained pit crew.
I agree with Larry, Silverstone suits the car and driver very well.

Vettell IMHO can win anywhere. He is simply battling his own youth at this point.

Button. And I agree with Ltc, once vettell can settle a bit, he will win, and be a real threat. Right now, too many mistakes. And button really hasn't put a foot wrong yet.

Smooth and old, er experienced.

vs.

Young and headstrong.

Someone get Barrichelo a decent tranny and good clutch pak so he don't hit the anti-stall start button again.
Was fun watching him try to kamikazi dive through some of the traffic.

Isn't it great how the new rules have improved passing opportunities and made the race outcomes so unpredictable?

Just imagine an F1 car today with active suspension, 2 way telemetry, V10's, full up aero, give Adrian Newey a blank drafting table and say 'Have fun'.....you know, what the pinnacle of auto racing should be.....in other words, no Max Mosley.

This is a simple question to answer:

Dry = Button Wins

Wet = Vettel Wins

Next question...

Although my head says Button, I picked Vettel. Sure he has made some errors, the two that stand out are Australia (where I think Kubica had a little role to play too) and the last race on lap 1. However, I also remember China where in Q2 and Q3 he was limited to one lap and absolutely nailed it each time. The race itself was a perfect drive. So, I think he can put it together and who knows?

That said, it is becoming more and more apparent that Brawn is THE car by a margin this year.
