There is $10,000 right there

roof is steel, but just a sheet. Good idea, bet it is 20lbs up high
doors are aluminum and very light. probably not worth it
Hood is aluminum, also very light also not worth it.
Intake is heavy and CF intake buys about 80hp, so that is next, but Its $4k
No need for light blanks, as it has plastic foe covers . fog lights with high energy bulbs weigh 1 lbs each, so those are not worth it because they work and also are light. No structure to hold them into place too, which is nice.

Thanks,

mk

A carbon roof might only be 20 pounds, but it would have the effect of much more as it would lower the CG.

I agree, but it's really the effect of the new roof, say 5lbs , so now its 15lbs at the roof line, lowering the 3000lb CG a substanial amount. What will that really buy me? plus, with no steel roof, I would probably want another bar across the cage and that would certainly offset the weight savings for 0 gain.

A roll over now, would have some penetration protection from an inpact. with a CF roof there would be none, so you would have to add a bar. For the cost and effort of doing such a project, it would probably be better to invest in a set of Motons and some tuning sessions, along with new tires.

But your right, ive been eyballing the entire roof line through the rear hatch being made from CF.
