first session this morning was wet and I went out on rains. Second session was damp/drying and you could run housiers. By the third session which was qualifying it was dry and sunny!!!! Forecast for tomorrow in warm and sunny spells so we should e in for a good time! Times seem a little down for some run groups vs last year however it is a blast.

2 sprints tomorrow and then the Enduro on Sunday

I have also met a lot of listers for the first time, so say hi if you walk past the trailer with the union jack

First two sessions were wet. Track is slow, atleast the times in blue group show it.

Practice races were quick... I watched with the "wise one" Larry Herman.

We want to come back to club racing with Boxsters!

Clear sky now, perfect weather... sitting on the deck of the Harbor Hotel. Life is good.

The blue group had, what, four wave-offs in the practice starts/fun race due to the first two or three drivers not understanding how to do a start, which meant that we had one whopping lap in the fun race. WTF, guys? Thanks.

Met Veloce Raptor, ARM993, BostonDMD and DanR. Dan is doing well in G and will give me a run for the money.

I learned that a 1/4" wider wheel in the outside will result in tire rubbing (Fikse sent me a loaner wheel since they still had yet to machine out a new center for me) with BFG R1's. Thanks to Gregg Lewis for lending me his rear wheels, and thanks to John Haas for picking up the wheels

I suck at Watkins Glen.

No, just stating the obvious.

Just made the pass into 3rd place in GTC3 this morning, went up through the esses, got about half way to the bus stop and my left rear tire exploded. Took out three corners of the car. Going home

Got the video of the whole thing from the guy behind me. I'll post a link when I get home. It was pretty spectacular....

Met a bunch of Rennlisters who I hadn't met before: VR, Dr. Jupeman, 38D, Mark in Baltimore, Matt, Mitch, etc, etc

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that Peter. I know that you were starting to get the track down pretty well.

Thanks Larry. Good news is I'm flying home a day early and will make it in time for my son's Little League All Star game

Although, way to wheel Tremper!

Sorry to hear about the exploding tire but admire your attitude.

Times look really slow. Did it rain again? And what happened to Rick Owens (the white USA cup in H)?
