the "pit" or whatever. There is a banked strip that has a ditch on the other side of it, just before you hit the last hairpin and climb up the hill. I saw a 997 turbo go wide enough that a light breeze would have put it into the ditch.

See you at Hallet.
Chad, sorry to see that you won't make it. It is going to be a blast with the high car count. Let us know if you change your mind, we'll be there for T&T on Friday to help out Edwin (and anyone else that is an ECR first-timer).

Ah...track out from T9...now I know what you mean.. Yeah, lots of people try to go too fast thru 9 before they have the line right, and they end up way early on the 2nd apex, and then run out of track at exit!

I may be interested in renting my Spec Boxster.
Please contact me at Chad @ hallmarkpumpcompany.com if you're interested.

Mark Foley was talking about doing an Arrive & Drive. Don't have his contact info handy, you can try and PM 'MFoley' over on boxsterspec.

Thanks for the heads up Noby. I'll try to get him. I posted an ad on the www.boxsterspec.com site as well. It is the official Boxster Spec racing site you know.

Just checked the long-range weather forecasts. As usual for this time of the year, rain is a possibility. Bring your rain tires just in case.

Also, I heard that Friday practice had been opened up to be an all day affair. Earlier notes from Wendy indicated afternoon only. Has practice changed? Will we be able to bring trailers in on Thursday afternoon to get set up? 71 cars signed up to race. Groupings should be interesting.

I spoke to Maggie last weekend, dropping off trailers on Thursday should not be a problem. Not sure when they were closing the gate, call or e-mail her (it's on the ECR website).

Yes, the track is putting on the T&T on Friday. She only had 7-8 confirm so far, but it should be running from 9-5 with a lunch break. I will be running it as a member day.

Looks like 13 SPBOX confirmed, with a 14th still a possibility. I talked to Miller, he's having a hard time figuring out the run groups. I say move the D guys up with the GT cars (like TWS)

Yeah, but you're not in a class where you can go "I was seventh!!" Finishing first is the same as finishing last...

Seriously, you should have plenty of people to race with. It is a large enough field.

Thanks Noby. I'll call Maggie to find out when the gates will close on Thursday.

That "... move the D guys up with the GT cars..." deserves no comment! I hate being a rolling chicane! See you next week.

BTW, do we use UHF radios for Race Control and Corner Workers? If so, does anyone know the frequencies used? Would like to set my Raceceivers up if possible beforehand. Thanks!

Maverick uses VHF radios. According to my notes:

154.600 Channel 1 race net
154.570 Channel 2
151.955 Channel 3
151.625 Channel 4
151.535 Channel 5
151.595 Channel 6
151.655 Channel 7
151.805 Channel 8

Can we have do-over on yesterday's weather for ECR? Man that was a gorgeous day!!

Rain probability is now at 20% for Sunday. Highs in the upper 80's on Saturday. A little cooler and a little less humidity than last year's club race. DE registration is down by over 20 drivers compared to last year... Perhaps the DE1 vs. DE2 run groups will be merged even sooner into the weekend than last year, giving the DE guys even more track time!
