Well another great race between teammates ruined again .....
I must say that i have been a fan of Rubin every since that wet cold day at Donington 93 , where in a recalcitrant Jordan he went from the back to the front running as high as second before engine failure denied him of a podium with just a couple laps to go in what was his 3 rd or 4th F1 race ..
Senna had talked highly of Barrichello even going as far to say he would obtain his mantle in the sport and Barrichello's drive that day at Donington had shown Senna assessment to be spot on . One can only imagine the devastation felt By Barrichello that dreadful day at Imola and it is not unimaginable that the effect would have taken sometime for Barrichello to shake off.
When he got the drive at Ferrari teammate to Shumacher , supposedly with a contract allowing equal status to race for the WDC , i felt he had finally gotten the break , it was pure disappointment to watch this talented driver play second fiddle to Schumacher , but it was their way , he was conceding to Schumacher , a multiple WDC and the regarded no 1 in the Sport .
What i witnessed today from Rubin was shocking , Here was Barrichello conceding to a Journeyman driver with less talent than he has in his pinky,
I can now fully understand the disgust his fellow Brazilians have of Barrichello , why they laugh at the faintest mention of his name and the scorn they have shown in his presence.
Barrichello is an utter disgrace to them and their wining tradition , a tradition that brought them Pace, Fittipaldi, Piquet and Senna. Drivers who would have driven into the pits and parked that brawn and walked ,if they where given the task to Concede to any driver much less one of Button's ilk .
So here's to Rubin's Barrichello , F1's no 1 Labia Mejora ........
To Ross Brawn for knowing what to do to with a Labia Mejora when placed in front of him , even dry ...

Button leads Brawn 1-2 at Spanish GP
By Matt Beer Sunday, May 10th 2009, 13:42 GMT
Jenson Button stretched his incredible run to a fourth win in five races by beating his Brawn team-mate Rubens Barrichello to victory in the Spanish Grand Prix.
Barrichello had vaulted into the lead at the start, but Button switched to a two-stop plan at the first stops and maintained a strong enough pace on heavy fuel to emerge ahead when the strategies had finished playing out.
Mark Webber completed the podium for Red Bull, as his front row starting team-mate Sebastian Vettel's race was compromised by getting stuck behind Felipe Massa's Ferrari off the line.

Why the hate for Button? He is obviously better than you describe.

I said it earlier and I repeat, stunning, just stunning are the mistakes Ferrari is doing.
I can't see Domenicali being there for long, it's time for him to go and Schumi for sure needs to join him on his way out.

Well done Webber. Loved that passing move just after the restart. Class and guts.

Although I feel for Rubens, this is the way it is. He had an equal chance to be #1 at the start of the year and many, including myself, picked him over Button, but give Button credit as he made the most of his opportunity.
Clearly, Ross Brawn being Ross Brawn, he's going to go with what he knows and that's win championships and bringing Rubens in an extra pit stop to give Button the extra 2 points is a means to that end.
When his countrymen pay his bills and feed his children, they can critique him. In the absense of that, they can kiss his ***. Rubens is paid to do a job on a "team". At the end of the year, he will not be WDC, but part of the WCC with a hand in the WDC.

Says; the man who is 2 seconds a lap off the pace and was shown the door ..
Your lack of comprehension is only excelled by your desire to commit larceny by attempting to charge for driving lessons ...
Barrichello has been faster than Button and was so again all of last year , he is the oldest driver in F1 and it has become more than obvious that this decision today has been in play from the beginning of this season , the fact that Barrichello is willing to play the game by lying about it in the press conference , was pathetic and full disclosure the sport is dead .
Now will the FIA go after them the same way as they did Hamilton for lying about team orders .....
Amazing Barrichello had the only 3 stop strategy , it makes sense if you think about it , a 37 yr old driver leading the race , you switch him to a 3 pit stop strategy , where he has to bang out qualy laps to win and give the kid the 2 stopper ..
Yes looks fair to me ......................................
Brawn denies team orders suggestions
By Jonathan Noble Sunday, May 10th 2009, 17:24 GMT
Brawn GP chiefs have strongly denied any suggestion that they used team orders to hand Jenson Button victory in the Spanish Grand Prix.
Rubens Barrichello had led the way early on, but it was Button who triumphed in the end after he was switched to a two-stop strategy at the first round of pitstops.
Those actions prompted conspiracy theorists to suggest that the team used the strategy to favour Button - something that has been strongly rebuffed by Brawn chiefs Nick Fry and Ross Brawn.
When asked to respond to suggestions that the strategy choice was a deliberate ploy to favour Button's title charge, Fry told AUTOSPORT: "No. Both sides of the garage were racing.

Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! And then there is reality, Twig & Berries. It's nice that I seem to have struck such a shallow, raw nerve, however. I must do this again! Oh, and keep up the constant homosexual projection. Your uninterrupted record remains intact!

So you got a fast car. Do you dilute the driver who's got more WDC points by letting the other driver win a race early in the season? Just asking.
And who could have thought of the brilliance to short-fill Massa for the last stint of the race.
Gave him lots of blinding speed with the lighter car, no?
Speed commentary said something like Ferrari short-filled Massa in anticipation of a safety car period.
They've got some crazy crystal ball in the Ferrari garage.
Probably need a better fortune teller at Ferrari.
