Funy for a guy that takes near last place in a WC race with the same cars as everyone else. At least i was in the back with a car with 200 less hp and 300ft-lbs less than the rest. . Oh yeah, "it wasnt your car, you werent trying"....etc.
Since you seem to be a little over confident. Lets do laguna Seca. We get deals for the spec miatas. you know the track, as you were even coaching me on where i need to improve. Since you already have the skills, experience, and track knoweledge, and are confident you will win anywhere, its a no-brainer.
Its got to be a race or Time Trial. otherwise, there are too many excuses. Forget it, lets race like real men/women! You win, Ill even pay for your flight back to Texas!
Those that know me, I never back out of a competition, ESPECIALLY RACING!

Oh, ye of INCREDIBLY little faith.
When GerbilRaper made this challenge to me, the wager was related to using the same car and comparing (IIRC) the average of each of our fastest 3 lap times. Of course I accepted....and of course he never showed up and hasn't been heard from since.
Viking, thanks.
I suspect the logistics and/or costs of this venture might prove its undoing. Finding a track neither in-DUH-vidual has driven might prove daunting w/o major travel costs to some remote backwater.
The larger picture, however, is that I suspect I would "win" no matter where it was held.

Tell us again about your podium finishes in WC in 2006? Oh yeah....there aren't any.
Way to wear your insecurities right there on your sleeve, though.

At laguna, we could do the Race in ITE, so the race wouldnt have traffic for the miatas or anything up front to be a factor. Since this is about who is faster and who is a better racer, Qualifying could be used for a weighted acheivement for the competition.
Point system:
Qualifying or Race lap time: 1 point per tenth of a second faster than the other guy
Race: 15 points to the winner.
That way, if you have some excuse and you loose the race, if you beat the other guy by a second and a half, in qual you cold tie. the winner of the race could only lose the challenge if he was slower in the race or qualifying by 1.5 seconds a lap. More, you could win. Something like this to make it interesting.

Mark, please stop trying to game the system. At least be willing to go a bit out of your way for this, rather than to your home track an hour from your house.
Or are you scared you'd "lose" anywhere else?

Hey, in 2003, SpeedGT i was hit from behind, spun out and climbed my way back to 1 place of my qual position in GT. WITH a bunch less car than ANY car out there. Now, you and I started about the same place on grid for the WC races we started, but did you pass anyone??
Hey, you are the one that suspects you will win no matter what. Im just providing the only comparisons we have to handicap the race.
All in fun, dont get all pissy and vulgar on me or us, or is that how you make your point stick?
Put up or shut up!

Oh, believe me, I was trying. But getting hit from behind and knocked off track three times by cars I had passed when they used me (and others) for brake markers will kind of **** up your entire day, Mark.
