Is that due to the chitty tires they run?

is stubbling difficult?

where can I get some anti-squat, and

how does one avoid the strong couple?
Pardon my n00bness, but I am new to these terms

Another large drawback of large bars is that you've now put a strong couple between opposite sides of the car which will have drastic events in one wheel bump.

I went heavier recently because I'm doing some experiments with underbody aero. From all the reading I've done it's important to keep the ride height as constant as reasonably possible when running a diffuser. Instead of going rock solid, I compromised and went somewhat stiffer.

Given the parameters of production racing in SCCA I don't think my car would be driveable with your spring rates. We are very limited on just about everything which is why I am at such a disadvantage in PCA racing.

.Since SCCA won't allow us any rear spoiler in production classes,a defuser in my case would create an imbalance with too much down force in the front and nothing in the rear.

So,good luck with your defuser experiment.

If you race in PCA,perhaps someday we will share the track together.I only do one or two PCA races a year. The rest are dedicated to SCCA.

Regards,
Tom B.

BTW , in what venue do you race the car.?Sounds like a GT4 or 5 car in PCA.

You will have to remove the fender covers to see the springs and judge their compliance and dynamic action in real racing conditions.

I think that was with the Chitty tires they USED to run. (i.e. 280 tread wear )

On the track With the original stock springs my 87 S4 is constataly banging off the stops violently enough that I am afraid I might damage or even break something in the suspension.
If the suspension is continually bottoming out dosn't that mean the springs are too light? I have purchased a set of 600-400 hypercoils which I intend to install before the season starts. Any body else running those spring rates on a stock 928? How did the stiffer spring affect the handling?

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to race a car with no suspension - basically a car-sized go-kart.

Im on the very soft side at 750 and 475. anything less and at a greater weight will be a sloppy mess on the track. If its a street car and used for track use, it will be very nice though. For racing, I think it would be a little too soft.
