I FINALLY made it to TWS [plus video]
Well, I packed up my car and drove to TWS for the first time. This was a 2 day Driver's Edge event. TWS is a sweet track!! It was worth the 3 hour drive It took me a few sessions to get the lay of the land, but I eventually figured out which direction to turn (well most of the time).
Here is a video of my best lap of the weekend: 2:02.x Don't poke [too much] fun. It was the best I could do on short notice! It's clear from the video that there are plenty of spots I can work on finding more time (e.g., not braking at turn 5 or 7, and flat footing turn 1).
well, at least the video shows the new pavement People kept saying 7-8-9 were different, but never having seen them, they looked fine to me. Turn 1 at 125+MPH is a HOOT! But, if you have any thoughts, comments and pointers, feel free to fire away.
BTW, Steve Hill brought his new Ferrari 430 Challenge out. That ride is a BEAST!!
Vimeo is taking a while to process. Youtube has processed both high and res versions! HD looks good there!
[Note: the high res [720P@60fps] was taken with an Aiptek Action-HD, feet camera was a Sony still with video capabilities. My new i7 quad core computer can encode high def video as fast (sometimes faster) than the actual play time ]

Nice... Not bad for your first time there. I remember back in the days our target was to break the two minute barrier. You got close at your first attempt. You can really carry a lot more speed through most of those turns but it takes a little getting use to... I noticed you tapped the brake in a couple of areas that I don't.
It is a fun track, isn't it? That's where I did my first DE.

Also, I think Steve actually got a 430 Stradale, not a full Challenge car...could be wrong.
