There are some very important Rennlist rules being broken here. It is not permissible to calculate real costs associated with tracking/racing your car. The only greater offense is posting said costs online, thus breaking the collective denial bubble we've all wrapped ourselves in. An average track weekend costs $250 - just ask my wife, she will confirm. Please refrain from this inappropriate behavior.

Back to the original topic... just paid the repair bill for last weekend. Could have been a lot worse. Bottom line - it's an expensive hobby. But SOOOOOO worth it! I'm just going to open a separate account and sock as much money away as I can. And know it will never be enough.
