The total weight number is good, I would throw away whatever you got for front to rear distribution and corner weights, they would be useless in the manner I saw it was being done. - I'm not alone in this judgement, just the only one to speak up.
I am sure whomever brought up the scales meant well with how they were trying to do it but corner weighting a car properly is a lot more than just throwing it on the scales and reading out the numbers.

If you plan on using the total weight number for racing I would then only use that number as a baseline. You should always double check total weight at each race with the "approved" track scales, they will vary.

Viking: Unless that floor is completely flat (unllikely), I would agree. Total is good, but corners may be off.

eclou: Upon further examination of the video in question, I think the pass going up the hill to 9 at 13:45 may have been a little questionable, since that's not a passing zone! :-)

What a fine way to spend a weekend. The organizers did a great job, particularly the weather committee.
The last session was superb. I had an absolute blast chasing after Jim Gewinner's car. I don't know if he is on the Rennlist, but if he is, thanks again.

And sways disconnected.........
And tire pressures set to hot temps ........
And fuel level at the desired level ........
And ride height and alignment are set properly ......
And driver is in the car ..........
And ...... well you know West, and others should be getting the idea.

To his defense he did clearly get a passing signal and complete it before the corner, as far as it not being a passing zone ......... well, I can't say much there can I .

Yeah, I was only curious about the total weight. I didn't really think about it at the time, but I agree with you on the corner weights methodology. I'm not considering those to be the final word.

Funny, one of the guys asked me (before I saw the numbers) if I'd had the car corner balanced. I said "No, why... did I get lucky?" and he sternly pointed out that I was way off and needed to get the car balanced. I told him that the car was just finished a week before the event and that I was doing well to have all 4 wheels pointed in the same general direction. He wasn't amused.

No, it was a super-clean pass - in a non-passing zone!

2. My driving seems to have progressed past my understanding/realization of what is going on. In other words, I got a lot faster this weekend, I can't really put my finger on why or how, yet my instincts have adapted to it. I'm not sure I'm fully aware of how that happened, but it's like I suddenly "get it" and that little light bulb lit above my head, but I don't really understand it and couldn't possibly explain it.

3. Driving faster than your brain and butt want you to is incredibly scary, but only for a session or two until your brain catches up.

4. Cussing like a sailor immediately after track out really helps aleviate number 3.
You were picking them up and putting them down out there young lady!

Driving seems like peeling an infinite onion. The further you go, the more you have to learn.

Great to see you guys, congrats on your marriage. Have a GREAT honeymoon!

I have been trying to figure out the best line out of T1 and have noticed they are both really close. I will have to analyze the videos more but they seem pretty close on everything but exit of T1.

West, I know we were having this conversation at the end of the day Sunday but these videos are interesting to look at. I think looking at the exact time at the left curb start in Turn 2 until Start/Finish are about the same around 21 seconds.
