equal driver / same driver? doubtful unless one is brilliant and the other abysmal. but different drivers? heck I pass Z06s and GT3s here and there and I'm under 300 crank in a fat pig of a car *shrugs*

kind of a silly question Paulo

I think you'd be surprised about how wrong you are. (Unless you are saying that the 3.2 would be faster).

First off, the 996 does NOT have 100 more HP. It's probably closer to 60 because the 3.2 has been chipped, has non stock headers and exhaust. The 3.2 is also much lighter, which further improves the power to weight ratio. The 3.2's suspension is much better than the 996's.

There just ain't no way that the 996 is sticking with the 3.2

LOL.... I would almost consider it except that I'm worried that you didn't get it with all the goodies that Ron had on it. If you did, I don't think you'd be questioning whether or not it is better/faster than a stock 996.

I don't believe Ron did anything to it before selling it to John S., and I know John didn't change anything before selling it to Paolo.. what goodies are you referring to Brian?

Just whatever mods he did to make it a class winning car. His lap times in the car are still very close to the track record. It seems a bit incredible to me that Paolo might think that the car is slower than a stock 996.

Brian, as the OP says, the 996 owner was explaining to me why my car was faster than his......
I never said my car was slower than the 996, I just thought it should have been due to the less HP......
