Anyone know if the new M3 is going to run GT1? The Corvette guys could use a little more competition besides the occasional Aston Martin.

get rid of P2 (usless catagory) and maybe those teams could invest in a few GT1 cars.
It just cracks me up. Its a pro series, but there are only 2 cars that run. I guess its just a training venue for the corvettes in preparation for Lemans, so as long as they are only hitting each other, I guess its ok.

The new M3 GTR will run in GT2. It would not stand a chance against the GT1 cars.

Clearly a staged event and ALMS officals knew it. That is why they got a 2:30 second penalty for ingnoring the red flag and a 5 min penalty for the contact.
Of course being the only cars in GT1 they would still be 1-2 by the end of the day. I guess they could have DQ'ed them, but then there would have been no GT1 finishers.
Probably won't see that again.

The Green Racing program could not be more foolish. Ethanol is a scam, and these people feel so good about themselves promoting it. What a joke!
