It is also heavily populated by many who perpetuate the "Nanny State" mentality, where "victims" are rewarded with attention and pity, and Internet assassinations are common place.

Never one to shy away from a good piling-on the problem with most 993 owners is that they think they own the last "real Porsche". They seem to forget that the 964 is the last one that LOOKS like a Porsche and is built like a Porsche. Their cars still retain the air-cooled motor, but body and suspension-wise it was the first of the non-911 styled 911s. Kind of a 996 pre-cursor.

it was worth it just to get the link to the Ruff video. One of the best videos I have watched. I can not imagine the skill it takes to just throw the car around. As they say for where I grew up "fu*king wicked!

I'll add that ANYONE that pays $44k for a N/A 993 that isn't a full blown race car with every high-end bit or the most pristine, concourse condition street car needs to take a wake up pill (maybe it took this bozo 6 months to figure this out). 95 993's are out there in good shape from 22-26K!!

If you can see road rash on a DE/race car, yer drivin' too slow. And why did a dedicated DE car have an interior anyway?

I thought you could remove the interior and just put light weight carpet back in for PCA stock classes? That looked like the stock interior.

There ya go... the fact that Dan rebuilt it is fine, but as far as i'm concerned the most you can add is about 33% of the rebuild cost to the same car in good running condition. $44k?? Holy crap! I've seen NICE 993 S's going for that.. To say nothing of buying a used 05-06 Cayman S!
