Nürburgring 24 (photos)
Sunrise found me blasting down the autobahn, heading north to catch the beginning of Nürburgring 24 race! It was a last minute decision, so I couldn't stay up there for the whole 24 hours... but still, if this isn't a good enough reason to do 1,100kms of driving in one day, I don't know what is.
I've got about 300 shots of various cars and in various degrees of focus, but sadly they're all from the same corner. My plan to get to another corner went south after I noticed how packed everything was in and around the track. So after I found myself a nice spot from where I could take some shots without the stupid fence in my way, I stayed put. Pro tips for next year: 1) lense with IS stabilizer 2) a bloody chair 3) warm clothes 4) case of beer.
Audi was out in full force with a nice area setup in the paddock and RS4s and RS6s being used as safety cars:
Couple Porsche RS Spyders did a few laps to keep us entertained:

Very nice! Best action pics I've seen yet from the race.
I so hope they bring the Scirocco here. And good to see so many E30's running, along with the '64 cup. And the original Morris Mini. I love the variety of the cars that show up for this race.
Seriously thinking about attending next year.
