Sorry but haven't figured out how to search for multiple words so the results are overwhelming:
For non-registered, track only cars, what do you folks do about general insurance?
I am talking about theft, earthquakes, hurricanes, car flying off the trailer on the highway, etc. - nothing to do with driving or track.
I thought it may be a rider on home insurance (like a jet ski or such would be) but apparently not.
Thanks in advance.

Heacock Parrish (???) I always forget the exact name.
They have an STP (storage transport paddock) insurance that is pretty cheap. I pay 250 a year for 15K coverage.

I use a company named K&K Insurance out of Ft. Wayne, In. Car, Trailer and Tools are insured for $75,000 for $1000 bucks. This covers the trailer in full while on the road also. Covers the car, trailer etc. in the paddock if they were run over by an idiot....covers theft of all of it of course too. Tools if stolen while at the track etc. Basicly covers the car when it is not on track.

I use Heacock Classic http://www.heacockclassic.com/site/
They seem to appreciate our cars and offer a very good value.

For the off track stuff, Hagerty and Heacock are the programs to check out as they both have some folks working there that are focusing on motorsport vehicles and "get it", and both have good reputations with claims. Neither of them have an "on-track" coverage available last time I checked. My opinion is the other collector programs don't understand motorsport cars.
Hagerty had better rates on the vintage stuff unless it is some radical hill climb car. Newer than 1980 or so, the prices kind of bounce a little in Heacock's way in late models depending on the value of the car or collection, although IIRC the coverage changed to stated value instead of the normal agreed value, so check that out.
