Anyone else going to RADE (Road America DE) this weekend?

I just changed my wheels, oil, pads, and rotors and I can hardly wait.

It looks like good weather is in the forecast!!

Of course. I'll be there Thursday night.

I'm not driving but I'll be there supporting Jean-Louis & Agnes or any other 928 that shows up (or anyone else that needs a hand).

I'll be in a lapis blue Boxster S

I planned on it but we decided today to do the IMSA Challenge race at Montreal (support for the F1 race) in a couple weeks so the DE is out. Have a great time. RA is my favorite track.

Yeah, I hear you, but it's not the same. I look forward to RADE every year, and after this past winter I need to hit the track more than ever. And I have to wait until Father's Day weekend, if I'm lucky...

Ray,
That's great. I don't have the race schedule yet but I'll email it to you when I do. You should stop by the IMSA paddock if you have time. The bummer is that when we run with ALMS we're all in the same area. With F1 apparently we can't get close to the cars unless we happen to be in the pits at the same time. It should still be fun though.

What a great weekend! Weather was about perfect, and the track felt great, with the exception of the Sunday high speed autocross. Ray - stopped by your car a few times, but you weren't there. Few scary incidents, but thankfully no one got hurt. Overall great time as always.

BTW, re. the high speed autocross...I was at the Milwaukee region event at RA in early May and the asphalt area that was coned off in turns 5, 6 and 8 on Sunday was completely chewed up and coming apart. There was asphalt everywhere. They tried to clean up the loose bits between runs but it really didn't do much good. The cone solution was much better than doing nothing and letting that asphalt get all torn up again. It wasn't too bad once you got used to it. I wonder how much time it cost us per lap?

It was a great time tho. It was good to meet all the chicago folks. My first event w Chicago since moving from Florida and my second time to Road America. What a great track!

I didn't find the cones in 5 too bad, but 6 and certainly 8 were distracting. I was about 1.5 seconds off my Friday and Saturday times. That was probably the cones, and maybe Siebkens. Road America rocks!

Sorry I missed you. The weekend was good, but my Sunday lap times were horrible (worse than the cones should have dropped them).

That 996 crash was scary bad (I'm glad he walked away). Additionally, turn 14 collected another GT3 (I'm not sure why they seem to have problems there).

All in all a good weekend....

No pictures from me but I have some in car video I recorded on Sunday in group 2. I haven't looked at it yet but I'll try to upload to youtube. I was in the red 993tt and it was great to see so many 993's on the track.
