I'm going to put a wrench to check the bolt tightness on my 964. Can anyone tell me specifically all the bolts to check? Do you guys use a universal torque for all suspension bolts or just hand tight?
Any advice yould be appreciated.

I nut and bolt everything I can see between events to make sure nothing is loosening up. I don't neccessarily worry too much about torque specs when doing this unless it's a critical component that can't be overtightened. I also check a handful of notorious items between sessions axle bolts, etc. You'd be surprised at all the things that loosen up after a few sessions.

When I check nuts and bolts, I torque everything to the factory spec. Further, each bolt is marked with a paint pen so it becomes obvious when a bolt has loosened.

Yes, forgot about the paint pen, straight line from center of bolt onto whatever it's holding.

+1. A visual check is much faster and easier.

CV joints easier to mark them; Axle nut particularly the left side on clock wise tracks...again a paint pen is the easiest way to visually check. Caliper bolts; front suspension bolts; the list can go on but that is a good start.

Well today I was re-installing my engine, and my rear trailing arm bolts were loose where the trailing arm mounts to the pivot point at the chassis.

(applies to older 911's and 930s I guess.)

I ran my new car for the first time two weeks ago. The first two sessions were the most nerve-jangling track time I've ever experienced. Every fastner and every component on the car had been in a bag, a box, or on the floor over the winter [full body transplant]. Despite the fact that everything was torqued and paint marked, there were 1000 things that could have gone wrong.

Good news was that I didn't have to touch the car the entire weekend!

I am expecting the same thing when I take my car out for the first time.
