CJ,
Todd's going to have my car @ MSR getting it ready for Heartland Park during the DE but we can get you out in one up here @ ECR on a member day. Let us get passed the Heartland club race & then let's try to hook up.

When PCA "legitimizes" Spec Boxster, it is going to be a free for all...

I have it from a good source that it should be an "official" PCA class for all CR events very soon

I am shopping for a donor as well! You and I can mix it up in our 911s with NASA and then in the Boxsters with PCA. Jay and Steve will be too far ahead of us to matter, but sounds like there will be others to play with.

jakermc,

there is a red one on craigslist for 9900..I looked at the car and got 1/2 of a ppi done. Its not a bad car for a doner car but not at that price. I have a standing offer at 8 with him and he is down to 9300 if you are interested.

Rob,
I sent you the info last week on the car Chris is referencing. Chris is one of the two Amond boys. They run with their pops w/PCA in cups. They bought my old car. We all had a great time running cups together

Chris,
In case you aren't aware, "Jakermc" is one of the guys I've been talking to about this. He's an MSR regular & has run some events with us in the past. He also runs a lot w/NASA in his 911. I'm trying to lure him over to the darkside

Last weekend out here in CA, there were even more spec boxsters than ever. It's gotta be the fastest growing class.

Guys I know it's supposed to be a relatively cheap car to build, but don't overlook spending a few extra grand for a low mileage car. One of our cars is a 30k mile car and shocked me how much faster he was down the straight than my 52k mile car. I also noticed I pulled the cars with over 100k on the motor.
Just my $.02....

I sold the 2.5L (55k miles) that I took out when I put the 3.4L in for $1,500. Now I'm regretting that.

Chris
I saw the pics and read your write up on it. With the seats as torn up as they are I wonder about how well the car was cared for. The cosmetics can often be a good indicator about how well the car was loved mechanically.

I should have snapped up that Ebay car in Houston for $10K.
