Chris,
Your estimated expenses for the weekend may be a bit overstated, the $800.00set of tires (mounted) have enough life left to run two more weekends like we ran at TWS, I will let you know how they cyle out. Brake pad life looks to be excellent as the Pagid Orange's still have what looks like fresh orange paint and minimal wear, hell even the rims stayed clean and the center caps (which I left on for the Barbie effect) were still clean. If anyone is seriously interested in PCA Club Racing in cars that have the potential to be as fast as many of the Euro SC types (not counting anything driven by Buckley) at an entry price even when built for the racer who never turns a wrench at under $40k and has operational and replacement expenses literally a fraction of anything shod with Hoosiers then a serious look is in order. I had never driven a Boxster outside of a parking lot before TWS and in my opinion they are easier to drive than my RSA. With some time to corner balance and properly align I believe there is still a bit more to wring out of it. I hope we can grow club racing in the region by PCA adopting the spec series as I believe it has the potential to offer the most bang for the buck of anything out there. I will be glad to help anyone looking at spbox. Steve

sounds good Steve. If you guys want to bring the cars over we have the scales back and everything set up to do corner weights and strings to do the alignments. Just give me a shout.

Steve, the Toyos will not cycle out. That is one of the beautiful things about them. They wear great (when they are shaved) and get better & better....and are best right before they cord.

PS: I love it. My old cup is going to finance three more Barbie cars. Funny thing is, it will still be way cheaper to run ALL THREE then the cup was

I love seeing this happen in Texas. I have been on the fence to build one but I am worried I won't have anybody to play with. Are you going to do PCA events only?

So now which races is the SPBOX going to be allowed to run? I know I saw it on the PCA site somewhere but now can't find it. Isn't this year sort of like the test year for this class? If there is enough interest they will make it an official class next year or something.
I know PHX and TWS were two of the races. PHX was cancelled wasn't it?

Cal Speedway this coming weekend was one, and I think Las Vegas in early May was the other. If you build one they will come....
