Guys, these are ALMS mandated changes. The club benefits but they're not the driving force.

Really? So, the communications that I have been receiving as a prospective Club member, which have described planned changes to the track to make it more safe and enjoyable by drivers with a wide range of skills, etc., are just so much hype? I can see the run-off area changes, the increased number of pit boxes, the pit-in improvements, etc. being mandated by ALMS, but can't see them asking for the autoX track.

Is there a picture somewhere of the proposed layout?

I'd have to drive the new circuit before I could comment. In some ways it does look interesting.

Interesting -- I understood it the same way you do. Maybe LRP is trying to put a positive spin to potential club members on track changes that need to be made anyway ...

Leaving the questions about what configuration each group gets to run and how much choice will be allowed each organization. For those days where an organization is sharing time with LRP Club members, I guess it will be the LRP Club config of the day.

When PCA does a DE at Lime Rock - do you know how many folks they let in? I'm just curious - as usual :-)

I am looking forward to trying the new circuit. We get all amped up when a new track comes on-line (like Thunderbolt). Why not look at this in the same light?

It will depend on the group, but somewhere between 70-130 or so which means 4-5 run groups.

I agree Chris, I have no problem with the new config (though I sure would like to run the old one with new pavement once!).. it's all about figuring out how to make it around in the least amount of time either way.

It just shows how humans are creatures of habit.....

Let's try the new configuration and then make intelligent comments.......

Alan Wilson designed the Tremblant and Calabogie tracks, and let me tell you, they are awesome.....
