Default Group Buy on IQ3 Data logger from Racepak

Hey Guys, with John's approval I've put together a group buy for the new IQ3 coming out in February. Here are the details of it.

The group buy is going through Motodelta Motorsports..
He has a total of 5 units allocated to him for the first production run. It will be 3-4 months until the he gets more.

Pricing
They will retail from Racepak at $1395.00.

Check Prices:
5 $1,311.30 each
3 $1,340.60 each
1 $1,374.08 each

CC prices:
5 $1,346.18 each
3 $1,361.52 each
1 $1,395.00 each

Each person in the group buy can pay the way they want to, but they will get the pricing for their method of payment.

He needs a non-refundable deposit of $100. If one person backs out, he will distribute their deposit to the rest of the group to offset the screwup.
Here is the link to his deposit page. He will take credit card for the $100

Link to RacePaks site for more info on the IQ3

Other details...
Shipping is not included in price, anyone in Illinois will have to pay 6.75% sales tax.

Units will ship when Racepak gets them out, they are saying next 3 weeks. But they are sometimes late, so be patient.
Chris does not require full payment until he has a ship date from Racepak, we do have to move fast if paying by check
he will require 4-5 days for checks to clear. You can still pay by Credit card if you would like, see CC prices above.

We're down to two slots left, this means the group has secured minimum of the 3 unit price. I have two more folks that have expressed serious intrest so hopefully we can fill those and do even better.

Several people have asked, this is for the first shipping date from Racepak.

IMHO, the IQ3 is a potential category killer. I've already got my order in, to replace my current G2X.

The combination of the logger specs AND the dash at this price point is untouchable as things stand today. I've seen the display, which has no less than four user-configurable pages [!] and uses a very impressive high output blue LCD technology. The guys that get these will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the info Tony... The dash looks very similar to the Motec Dash

I've got one slot left right now. Once we fill all five, I'm going to lobby to get a few more slots open on the FIRST delivery date. Right now Racepak estimates shipping at "End of January" but I would anticipate a bit later (based on the same experience with the G2X). These slots will get the first shipping round and I re-re-confirmed this with them today. (I think the rep is tired of hearing from me. )

Please forgive me for asking, but if the List Price MSRP is $1395 and you're selling them for $1346 (??)............. why am I not thinking this is a great deal?

Group buys genereally save you quite a bit of $$$.... right?

Am I missing something here?

George, what you are missing is that calling Racepak for these now gets you one for $1395 (full retail) in the 2nd or 3rd wave which will be 3-6 months out min. Do some internet searching, you'll find about 3 vendors selling them at $1395 and one at $1495.

The best price offered is $1311 which is the best _I_ can do (anything less and I might as well give them away). It will probably be next year when they can be stocked and you may do better on price.

Not suggesting it's the end-all-be-all-super-cheap deal. A significant bit of value is the delivery date. Unless you are a vendor with Racepak and have a long standing relationship, the chances of getting one of these units before summer is slim to none. I have 5 slots on the first ship date and offered them up at the best discount I could. I could have easily gotten full retail on these. I can barely keep a G2X on the shelf and it's been out for over 1.5 years.

Hope this helps.

The IQ3 will will be practically unobtanium for general sales for a few months yet. The first runs are oversubscribed for distributors/partners/etc. Chris may have traded body parts [his or others] to get five units this early.
