Mosport or Road Atlanta?
Looking to run a couple of MX-5 Cup races next year and have come down to a choice of 2 tracks that I've never raced on.
- Road Atlanta
- Mosport
The other is my home track Laguna Seca.
Anyone run both and give me thoughts on which would be more entertaining to run?
TIA

I've run both, and I would pick Mosport. Road Atlanta has better facilities and a nicer surface, but Mosport has the biggest pucker turn in the US.

I've not driven Atlanta but I plan to this year.
My first time at Mosport was this past season. I have experience at Lime Rock, Summit, Pocono, Sebring, Road America, New Hampshire, Watkins Glen.
I would rank Mosport on the same level as Watkins Glen with both being my favorite tracks. If Mosport worked on their facilities and sex appeal it would be the far and away winner on my list. I would say that Mosport is more challenging than Watkins Glen.

I live in Rochester NY. About 70 minutes from me to the border. Including customs and traffic it takes me between 4-5 hours to get to Mosport. Well worth the trip.

Seems to me the time of year might factor in to your decision. It is blistering hot here in ATL in the summer. Spring, fall and most of the winter are very nice. Road Atlanta is a great track I'm sure you would enjoy.

I agree with 38D, going fast at Mosport has a bigger pucker factor than almost anywhere else in North America (with Mt. Tremblant a close second)
Very gratifying when you get it right though.

Mosport has a little more to offer. Some very high speed turns/sweepers. Great elevation and tempo changes with connected and disconnected turns. You'll have good fun.
