I was wondering how long that would take... my suggestion was an honest one, and considering this IS my thread and I have done a lot of work to try and pull people together with little success I don't think you are adding to it by trying to start a DIFFERENT league. Have any more names you want to call me? Day is still young!

Wanna911, you're out of line. Please do start a GTR2 thread and many of us will join you. Gary has done a great job introducing me (and others?) as total newbies to this activity, and I'm thaknful to him for that.

Gary has put a ton of effort into making this work. He has spent a lot of time (with people like myself who had difficulty getting set up) to help us get this RFactor league up and running. If you follow back to the beginning of this thread there were a lot of discussions on which sim to use and RFactor ended up winning.

In fairness you are jumping in at the end and trying to change the deal. Nothing wrong with prefering GTR2, but if you want to start that league (in fairness) you should probably start a new thread.

Thanks Chris and Ray.. I own Grand Prix Legends, GT legends, GTR2, Race 07, and rFactor. After countless posts, emails, and PM's "we" settled on rFactor as it had the largest selection of cars, tracks, and (other than possibly GPL) had the strongest net-code. GTR2 has a strong folllowing and a ton of leagues (here is a forum just for GTR2 Leagues - http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=1117 ). If Wanna wanted to start a RL League I would most likely try it. Maybe he is having a bad day...

I dont have a problem with that, but the smart remarks I do have a problem with, I was simply asking questions to begin with, and got trash in response, just a little respect for someone trying to find out what's going on, is that too much to ask?

wanna911. You really are taking this way beyond the pale. Gary was not trying to be a smartass. He really meant what he said and not in a spiteful way. It takes time and money to even set up a server that will accommodate a racing sim. If you would like to run a different program than the one Gary is using, please feel free to set up a server and go for it. Once it is set up post a thread and get others to join. Or you can find one elsewhere that is set up now. If you really think it through there is nothing childish about what Gary has said or the choices he made.

You clearly are reading something between the lines that is not there.

This is my last post on the subject because I like the idea and dont want to ruin the thread, but like I said I was simply inquiring about GTR2 and if such a league existed for that too because at the beginning of the thread both were mentioned, one person responded that they liked the game too so I asked if there were something already set up for GTR2, at which point Gary pointed me to the rFactor deal, I responded that I didnt like rFactor and he got smart about starting another thread, there is no reading between the lines there, go back and read for yourself. I only want to have fun like everyone else who does this, so just asking around, but remarks like that wont go far with me.

With that being said, it's water under the bridge, I apologize for the wasited posts on my questions and responses. Now please get back to what you were doing.

Wanna911, regardless of the misunderstanding and personal shots, you are still welcome to join us (remember, rFactor - the whole sim - is just a download away for you to try). If you happen to start a GTR2 league I hope it works out and you won't mind my joining in.
