Nah, the sale of the 944 was just the one of many steps in upgrading his ride with minimal spousal objection.

I say you lost the bet right out of the box. I bet he was mulling the option list before he even dumped the ninefofo

TD you can do a 964 cage that will let you street and race. IMO Spend the $ upfront and have the hardware in hand under your control and lets you get used to it. Arrive and drive makes sense if you want to do a few and stop. (Stop? Right ...like that's going to happen) Like Mark said, You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.

No, I swear I didn't have any plans in mind when I sold the ninefofo beyond spending more time with (and money on) my family.

I must say, though, that I feel like I imagine it must feel to give up a mistress for the sake of your family and then spend all of your time thinking about the mistress.

I am a sick man, but those of you who know me already knew this.

With respect to the point I was making about the rationale for rule changes, thanks for the comments and all of the PMs! I appreciate it.

P.S. Thanks for the comments regarding the bolt in bars. Maybe I could have piper motorsports weld in a beautiful cage that has bolt in nascar bars . . .

Per the 2008 Rules Changes being adopted by PCA Club Race for Spec classes:

"1. SP1, SP2, and SP3 rules are not part of the PCA rules process and will follow the rules adopted for their series of origin in 2008, including any changes in 2007 that are retained by those series in 2008."

SP2 and SP3 refer back to the 944 Cup and 944 Super Cup classes. Here are the 2008 rules from the series of origin:
