Anyone have experience with the CDOC slotted rotors on a 986, 996, 987, and/or 997? How do they compare to the factory cross drilled rotors in 1) performance and 2) durability??

I havent acutally USED them, but given the design, they should definitely last longer than the OEM setup...thats for sure...no more little damn cracks...

The AP Racing rotors? I am on my second set of full floating slotted front discs and mounting hardware, same hats. No performance advantage noted by me, but they wear HUGELY longer than the OEM discs that crack at the holes. Very happy with them, but they are noisy on the street. Consider the fixed mounting for that. Also found AP Racing tech support (by e-mail) to be truly excellent.

I will need new rotors for my 2006 Carrera S after another 1 or 2 DE's. I was looking at these slotted rotors thinking they would last longer. I switch out from stock to Pagid Yellow pads for the track days. I need the stock pads so that the brakes are quiet on the street. Will the slotted rotor work and be quiet with stock pads and anti squeal devices with the slotted rotors?
Thanks!
Thanks!

i wuld run slotted rotors anytime over drilled rotors provided i had good venting... the drilled rotoer will crack faster and you will get more life out of a slotted rotor if you have enough air flow to the rotor..... if you dont have the air flw and are pushing the brake with out god air flow ... there will be problems... i could get at least 5 more days out of slotted rotors than drillled .....

I'd love to hear some sources for slotted floating rotors for the 997S calipers... I understand PFC Direct Drive rotors are available for the fronts only, and heard there was a race shop that makes fronts and rears, though they were expensive.
For cooling on my 997S, I have the Cup ducts and heat has been manageable, though I'm getting close to having spider cracks connect...
