A fast corner with light braking that demands that you are on the gas throughout the turn (T1 at Mid Ohio and T6 at Laguna are examples). Stay flat on the throttle and LFB to take speed off without the transitions off then on the gas.
Quick turn no downshift corner where you want a sharp stab of the brakes (T3 at Mid Ohio).
Long carousel (like the carousel at RA) if you can not take it flat. Balance the car between throttle and brakes without the wasted time to move the same foot back and forth.
Those are some of that situations and corners that reward LFB.

My right foot feels weird hitting the brake anymore.

No momentarily, it stays off, and it goes off pretty abruptly, not exactly what I want happening when I'm trying to stay right at the limit in a turn. I guess if you are driving 6/10 it might be ok.

Left foot braking is THE way to go. I learned it in karting and carried it over to cars and used to do it exclusively when I had my M3. The throttle by wire in the GT3 cuts out so badly that it's frustrating and I've gone back to right foot braking.
The proper way to LFB is to never be completely off the gas and use the brake to drag your speed down and balance in the corners. Basically your "BLENDING" the petal inputs at all times when approaching or in a corner.
On the same course in my M3 the difference in LFB was .6 to 1 second faster per lap.

I'll be the devil's advocate here. Plenty of drivers go very fast without ever left foot braking. When Schumacher & Barrichello were teammates, Michael would left foot brake & Rubens would not. True that Michael was usually faster, but personally I would love to be as slow as Rubens.

Sounds like you are staying on the brakes way too long. I just use LFB momentarily at most. I assure you that I did not drive Seth's GT3 at 6/10ths at Road Atlanta...
