Now you will get a face full of armco, or maybe land in a dining room:

Check out the others they have planned.....I think all of them would look better on the back straight.

You can see the new armco and the condos going up on the video. I agree that they should maximize income/profits, but not at the cost of safety. They could have put them on the whole way down the back straight and the buyers/renters would still have a great show in front of them.
I was actually hoping that they would someday move the inside wall of South Bend back further, but it looks like there will be less run off room there. That corner eats the most cars from what I have seen.

Funny thing is that in all the events I have been there I have never seen anybody go off on the "condo" side of the esses. It's usually the armco on the right side and then again after southbend on the left. I think that is where the trouble is going to be if they eat up anymore real estate there. As was mentioned, there is too many cowboys that think they can save it when they drop 2 off on track out at southbend and instead of just taking the landscape route of forever run-off they snap correct back across the track and crunch the wall usually taking out a few braking markers as well. All I can say is those in the condos there are going to have a bird's eye view of some serious DE carnage.

Ugh. that is exactly what I was thinking, Sean.

Those people moving in better be signing "non complaint" clauses so in 5 years they don't start complaining about the noise. Don't laugh - think about it.
