Default Are turbo drivers just that more talented......

or is it just that the long straights are their best friends?

I am just trying to learn how is it possible that on the turns I am parked on their bumpers, regardless of the track, and then all of a sudden I get distanced on the straights?

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have an explanation?

What you are doing wrong is that you are worrying about it.

I rarely ever care what soemone is doing to me on the straight. My pedal is all the way to the floor and so is his. Now we are comparing engines and that is less important to me.

I care what I am doing relative to other cars during corner entry, mid corner and corner exit.

Also if you are parked on their bumper you are going to have the same exit speed as them. Overslow the a bit at the beginning of the turn and create a gap that allows you to get a run on them at corner exit.

I'd rather be fast in a slow car, than slow in a fast one . Besides, if you brake check a turbo at the apex and drop them off boost, you can get a head start. Not that I would do that

I know someone who has a car in the 944 family that will not lift if he gives the pass to a Turbo or GT3 driver. After giving the pass he was all over the *** of a number of Turbo drivers. They would not get away and became tentative to take the pass because of his much faster speed through the corners. He wasn't too far off the Turbo pace lap after lap.

Seriously, most guys who went straight to the track with their turbos (or who had little track experience with a NA car) just don't understand. It's all about cornering and maintaining momentum.

I love the comments from the turbo drivers who go back to a Carrera or something to start club racing. They are shocked at the way you have to drive them.

The guys who cut their teeth on the slower cars and then got turbos are the guys who are driving them quickly.

I'm a pathetic turbo driver... I've never driven anything else so wouldn't know how I stack up against anything else. In fact, had never had a sports car before in my life before I bought my 930.

It's all I know...

You're the exception to the rule. Figures that you would jump into this, you're such a PITA.
